School Heritage Day Programme

A comprehensive full-day educational programme at Fort Jesus designed for school groups. Students explore all key structures: the Chapel (built by the Portuguese in the late 16th century), the Barracks (housing soldiers through Portuguese, Omani, and British periods), the Portuguese Well (rainwater collection system critical during sieges), the Captain House, the Omani House, and the powder magazine. Includes guided tours, interactive worksheets, heritage drama workshops, and a Swahili storytelling session. Aligned with the Kenyan curriculum for history and social studies. Duration: 6 hours. Includes lunch and materials.
