Muranga Gorges

Muranga Gorges is one of the hidden gems of Muranga County, located just 4 km south of Sagana town along the C71 Sagana-Muranga Road. The gorges feature deep, scenic valleys with dramatic rock formations carved over centuries by rivers flowing eastward from the Aberdare Ranges to join the Tana River. The terrain rises gradually from an altitude of 914 meters in the east to 3,353 meters along the slopes of the Aberdare Range. These offer both serenity and spectacular beauty. The area is easily accessible from Nairobi (approximately 1.5 hours drive) via the A2 Nairobi-Nanyuki Road to Kenol, then the C71 to Sagana.
